US-site offers checked 15 October 2026; offers and eligibility can change.I bought my original Joolz Aer in December 2022 after a deep dive into travel strollers. Nearly four years and countless countries later, I’ve just passed it on to a friend with younger kids. It’s still one of my favourite travel purchases.
For me, it had that light, easy-to-carry feel of the YOYO, but was easier to open with one hand. It felt more stable than the Jet travel stroller, with the sturdiness I associate with Bugaboo, but much lighter. And those leather-look accents? Such a good-looking stroller.
The back reclined comfortably low for naps, the canopy gave plenty of cover, and the removable seat fabric made cleaning easier. I also used the foldable belly bar on my original Aer and loved that it folded with the stroller.
I’ve never had an issue bringing it on board, and keeping it with me is always my first choice. Its compact fold works for many aircraft overhead bins, although airline rules and available space vary. Mine came with a protective travel bag—a bright red one that would be easy to spot if I ever needed to gate-check it.
And the cup holder is a tank. Can you name me one stroller cup holder that’s lasted nearly four years, travelled to countless countries and never needed replacing? This one did.
Light, sturdy, comfortable and still going strong with another family. Just the best.

How the weights compare
I used the original Aer. If you’re comparing the Aer+ with other travel strollers, here are the brands’ listed weights.
| Travel stroller | Listed weight |
|---|---|
| Joolz Aer+ | 6 kg / 13.2 lbs |
| Stokke YOYO³ · complete 6+ setup | 6.59 kg / 14.53 lbs |
| Bugaboo Butterfly 2 | 7.3 kg / about 16.1 lbs |
| Silver Cross Jet 5 | About 7.2 kg / 15.87 lbs Excluding bumper bar (US specification) |
Checked September 2026. Stokke also advertises the YOYO³ at 6.2 kg (13.7 lbs); the figure above is its regional shop’s listed total for the 6+ setup. These are published specifications, not my own measurements; configurations and added accessories affect weight.
And the Aer+?
Mine was the original Aer. I’ve heard the Aer+ is even better, though I haven’t used it myself. Joolz lists an extended sunhood among its updates.
